How to DONATE!

Donate to the Lake Chelan Lions Club Foundation

The Lake Chelan Lions Club Foundation, is a 501(c)3 non-profit, EIN 88-2459278  whose sole purpose is to successfully meet the needs of the underserved of the Lake Chelan Valley. We are united around five areas of need, Diabetes, Vision, Hunger, Environment and Childhood Cancer. These causes present significant challenges to humanity, and we believe it’s our turn to meet them.

Support our Sight and Hearing Project

Through The Lake Chelan Lions Club Foundation, we provide the underserved low-income residents of the Lake Chelan Valley a low-cost/no-cost solution to their hearing and eyesight problems. 100% of our clients, are near or below the poverty level.

Our Sight and Hearing Project ls to buy two (2) eyesight spot screeners and four (4) audiometers to detect hearing and vision problems in school age children and provide community screening for the low income and disadvantaged on a regular basis.

We currently borrow equipment from NW Lions Club Foundation, this equipment will not be available in 2023. To replace the equipment, we will need funding of $24,000. Funding will be raised through grants, contributions and other designated projects as directed by the board

Support our Proposed Diabetes Project

Our Proposed Diabetes Project primarily targets the “high risk’ population groups. Low-income, elderly, minorities and women have a tendency to be at greater risk of developing diabetes. In many cases these groups also prioritize their daily needs and limited dollars in the order of food, shelter, and children’s needs. Medical attention usually receives the lowest priority. We believe our substantial increase in the rate over the national average is because we target screening to these groups.

Working with community based organizations we will hold screenings at senior centers and public places serving low income, minority/ethnic populations.  Anyone may receive the free test at our public screenings provided they are at least 18 years of age. The age restriction is a requirement by our insurance carrier. We are required to be  licensed to conduct screenings in Washington State. Our screenings are held in Chelan and Grant County area’s.
